This allotment is a place where I experiment with growing vegetables for my cooking. Although it is the second year that I started working on the plot, there are so much to learn and many first-time, for example, it is my first time growing butternut squash! Although I translated the seedlings quite late in the season, there are about eight pollinated squashes ready for the dining table! I can't wait to experiment with some dishes using the vegetables from the plot!
The autumn is here in Brighton. After a few months of hard work to clear all the over-grown weeds, my allotment is getting back to its pre-lockdown stage and it is quite productive. Dahlias are blooming again after some much-needed fertilizer. Colour of the plot is gradually changing. The deep purple of the kohlrabi and radicchio will be the highlight of the season.
